Money Market

MVS facilitates institutional money market transactions, including interbank call money, term money and repurchase agreements in Sri Lanka.

What It Is
The money market facilitates the borrowing and lending of funds between financial institutions. It plays a central role in day-to-day liquidity management and includes instruments such as interbank call money, term money and repurchase agreements secured by eligible fixed-income securities.
How We Facilitate Transactions
MVS Money Brokers Limited acts as a market intermediary between institutions with surplus liquidity and those seeking short-term funding. Our dealing team gathers bids and offers, supports transparent price discovery and identifies suitable counterparties to facilitate the efficient conclusion of transactions. Throughout the process, we maintain strict confidentiality, enabling each party to assess market opportunities without disclosing its position prematurely. MVS does not participate as a principal to the transaction. Our role is to connect eligible institutional counterparties and assist them in agreeing commercially acceptable terms.
Who We Serve
Licensed commercial banks, licensed specialised banks, primary dealers and other eligible financial institutions participating in Sri Lanka’s interbank market.
Why MVS
MVS combines established institutional relationships, an experienced dealing team and an in-depth understanding of short-term funding markets. Our market reach enables us to identify suitable counterparties promptly, while our commitment to discretion, responsiveness and professional conduct helps counterparties manage liquidity requirements with greater efficiency and confidence.
