A Legacy Built Over Four Decades
From its incorporation in 1980 to its role today, MVS has served Sri Lanka's institutional financial markets for more than four decades.
The history of MVS Money Brokers Limited dates back to 9 October 1980, when the company was originally incorporated as Forbes and Batlivala Limited.
In 1982, the company entered a new phase in its development and commenced operations under the name Vanik Money Brokers Limited. This marked an important chapter in its evolution within Sri Lanka’s financial markets.
In 2008, following a further change in ownership and corporate identity, the company was renamed MVS Money Brokers Limited. Since then, MVS has continued to strengthen its presence as an established intermediary serving Sri Lanka’s institutional financial sector.
With a heritage extending over four decades, MVS has operated through changing market conditions, regulatory developments and the continued advancement of Sri Lanka’s financial system. Throughout this journey, the company has remained committed to integrity, confidentiality, professional conduct and dependable service.
Today, MVS Money Brokers Limited operates as an Authorised Money Broking Company under the regulatory and supervisory oversight of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, connecting participating financial institutions across the money, foreign exchange and fixed-income securities markets.
